It’s reasonable to say Gogglebox simply wouldn’t be the same without siblings Pete and Sophie Sandiford.

The television personalities – who reside in Blackpool – initially joined the long-running Channel 4 programme back in 2017 for series 10, and it didn’t take them long to become firm favourites. Throughout the years, Pete and Sophie have had viewers in hysterics thanks to their sharp wit, clever remarks, and amusing reactions to the telly highlights.

And much to the joy of fans, the duo are back on screens for the brand new series of Gogglebox. But what do we know about their lives beyond the Channel 4 series?

When they’re not viewing television together, Pete and Sophie can be found working in their day jobs. Pete previously worked in insurance before training as a roofer and establishing his own construction business, reports the Mirror.

Despite his celebrity status from Gogglebox, he previously told The Sun he had no intentions to abandon his day job, saying: “I have got to pay my mortgage somehow.”

Meanwhile, Sophie previously worked at high street retailer Debenhams. She was made redundant in 2021 when the department store collapsed, and all branches across the UK were closed down.

She then trained as a florist and established her own business, Petali Floristry.

She continued, “You filled millions of childhoods with laughter and entertainment, including mine and Peter’s. You will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace, Uncle Barry. Lots of love from me, to you.”

Given such a tight bond, many viewers might assume Pete and Sophie are each other’s sole siblings – however, it emerges they have another brother and sister, Lucy and Harry.
